Some early Black Friday deals are traps, getting you to bite on an average deal before the truly big discounts arrive later. This isn’t one of those times. The Galaxy Watch 7 has dipped to $129 (48% off), its lowest price ever by $20, and there’s no reason to assume that price will fall lower. This is an everything-must-go sale, and the only question is how long the stock will last.

Having covered Galaxy Watch deals in Black Fridays past, I remember Samsung followed this pattern with the Galaxy Watch 6, dropping the price by 50% down to $139 before Black Friday and sticking to it through Cyber Monday. After that, Samsung took it off storefronts, and you could only find “renewed” models.

Galaxy Watch 8 for $279 ($70 off), but you’ll need to do your research and decide if the Galaxy Watch 8 vs. 7 differences are substantial enough to pay the extra $150. The new model is much lighter and skinnier, with an extra 1,000 nits of brightness and new Samsung Health features like Vascular Load and Antioxidant Index. But is this enough for you to give up such an absurdly low price?

You should also decide whether you’re willing to spend another $30 for the Galaxy Watch 7 44mm, or $50 more for LTE connectivity. The 1.3-inch Galaxy Watch 7 looks more natural on smaller wrists, while the 1.5-inch Watch 7 resizes content to take advantage of its larger screen.

Otherwise, you’ll need to look at other Wear OS watch brands, and your options are limited. The Pixel Watch 3 at $199 ($100 off) is your next best bet, better suited to Pixel phones, but still significantly more expensive with one fewer year of software support. Likewise, the OnePlus Watch 3 at $249 ($100 off) is a great deal if you need longer battery life, but it’s an alternative to a Galaxy Watch Classic or Ultra, not the light, skinny Watch 7.
