The Red Devils will host David Moyes’ Everton side on Monday evening at Old Trafford for their first match in the post-November international break.

United played Tottenham away from home before the start of the international period and the Red Devils secured a late 2-2 comeback draw in the encounter.

The Red Devils’ fixture on Monday will be the Premier League club’s first match at Old Trafford since United’s convincing 4-2 win over Brighton in October.

November marks 12 months since Ruben Amorim left his role at Sporting CP and arrived at Old Trafford to replace Erik ten Hag as Manchester United manager.

United’s first match under the 40-year-old former Sporting CP head coach was a 1-1 draw at Portman Road against Ipswich Town in the Premier League in 2024.

Amorim was asked about United’s result against Ipswich Town 12 months ago and how it compared to what he sees from the Red Devils now under his reign.

“I think we are showing that, but the important thing is that it doesn’t matter what we did in the recent games, we cannot forget that we started [from] that point to suffer a lot last year,” he said, as per Manchester United’s official website.

“We have to take that into account and to play every game like it is the last one or the first one.”

What Ruben Amorim now expects from his Man Utd players each and every time they’re on the pitch

United made an instant impact in Amorim’s first match after Marcus Rashford netted in only the second minute of the Premier League tie at Portman Road.

However, Omari Hutchinson cancelled out Marcus Rashford’s opener before half-time and both Ipswich Town and United had to share the points in the 1-1 draw.

Fast-forward from the 2024 Ipswich clash to 2025 and Amorim insisted that a major detail about United now is that he expects them to be “competitive” in all areas.

“If you ask me, yes, I expect a team 1763823188 with more control and with more dominance, playing better football and the most important thing is we are more competitive in every way,” Amorim continued.

United and Everton’s Premier League clash is slated for an 8pm kick-off at Old Trafford on Monday evening.
