Celtic’s win over St Mirren heaps pressure on Hearts as Derek McInnes’ side travel to Aberdeen this Sunday.

Callum McGregor’s winner with the last kick of the ball ensured Celtic left St Mirren with all three points to place the Hoops four points behind Hearts with a game in hand.

The Celtic AGM has caused controversy this weekend after the meeting was halted as anger spilled over during Ross Desmond’s filleting of the Celtic support.

However, as disharmony breaks the relationship between the Celtic fans and the board, Callum McGregor attempted to rally the support with an unseen rallying call to the travelling Hoops support right on full time at St Mirren.

The Celtic captain was the man of the moment in Paisley as his rocket of a goal secured a win in what was one of the worst games of football this season.

And Celtic’s Unique Angle captured what McGregor was telling the Celtic fans immediately after the full-time whistle blew.

Have a watch of this:

The Celtic captain can clearly be seen telling the travelling Celtic support, “Come on, come on! Keep going! Well done!”

It was a superb moment of emotion from McGregor where events off the field appear to be having an effect on it.

Callum McGregor’s message to the Celtic fans after AGM chaos

McGregor was clearly emotional at full time, but after the game the Celtic captain sent the fans a message about the division at the club right now.

McGregor said, “Yeah, yeah. The club needs to be united. It needs to be everyone together. Pushing forward. It has been built on massive success and unity.

Poll: Do you have faith in the Celtic board?

“The quicker we can put this behind us. Like you say, we get a permanent manager. Things start to go. We keep winning football matches.

“Hopefully, that will realign everyone and get us to the place that we want to be, which is success at this club.”
