West Midlands Police probing a ‘hit-and-run collision’ in Birmingham have issued a major update in their investigation tonight.

A male pedestrian was struck by a car on Radnor Road, at the junction of Hamstead Road, in Handsworth, at 1.40am yesterday, Saturday, November 22.

He suffered serious injuries but was in a stable condition in hospital.

The area was cordoned off as police investigated the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Police initially said that the driver of the car left the scene before officers arrived.

In an update today, Sunday, November 23, a police spokesman told BirminghamLive: “Our investigation is ongoing.

“A man came forward following the collision and is helping us with our enquiries.”
