Former England all-rounder Moeen Ali smashed an unbeaten 29 off 10 balls to help Ajman Titans beat Royal Champs in the Abu Dhabi T10 League.
Chasing 110, Titans made a good start and were 55-1 after four overs with England’s World Cup winner Alex Hales (21 off 10) and South Africa’s Rilee Rossouw (37 off 20) putting on 39.
Hales was dismissed but Rossouw kicked on before falling to leave Titans 78-3. Moeen took over though and shared an unbroken 34 with Will Smeed to see Titans over the line with 10 balls to spare.
Champs, who are bottom and still winless, had posted 109-5 with Scotland’s Brandon McMullen making 43 off 26 and Jason Roy 42 off 25.
Elsewhere, Quetta Qavalry extended their winning start to five games with a eight-run victory over Aspin Stallions.
Qavalry posted 100-7 with Khawaja Nafay making 34 not out off 17 balls and Liam Livingstone 16 off eight balls.
Stallions, who are seventh with one win, started well and were 28-1 in the fourth over but then lost regular wickets to finish on 92-8.
Sunday’s final game saw Vista Riders move up to second with a five-wicket win over Northern Warriors.
Chasing 113, opener Faf du Plessis made an unbeaten 53 off 25 balls to help Riders get over the line with four balls to spare.
Warriors, who sit third, posted 112-4 with Johnson Charles making 44 off 30 balls.
