On the day of the 2025 season finale, the draw for the 2026 Davis Cup was made this Sunday (23 November).
Following a thrilling final between Italy and Spain at Bologna’s SuperTennis Arena, the men’s World Cup of tennis will resume in February 2026 with the first round qualifiers.
The 2025 finalists have earned advantages going into next year: Spain have a bye into the second round, while Italy qualify directly for the finals as the host nation.
Thirteen teams from the opening round advance to the second round in September 2026, where the seven victorious nations complete the Final 8 lineup in November 2026.
Ties take place home-or-away, best-of-five matches, with the choice of venue and surface given to the allocated home team. The qualifying rounds lead back to the Italian city of Bologna, which will host the finals for the second year running.
