However, there are many places including paths where cyclist are a problem for me.

I am hard of hearing and on many occasions cyclists have come up behind me and I do not hear them.

They pass me by to close which is scary. If I should move sideways there could be a very nasty accident.

Recently I had a cyclist come up very close which scared me and I told him as he past to ring his bell.

He shouted out as he rode on that he did not have one!

I believe it should be compulsory that if you have a bicycle you should have a bell or something similar.

This would stop any potential accidents.
