After a long wait, we now have a first-look teaser trailer for the upcoming revival of beloved sitcom Scrubs, but it seems fans are divided. With only a few months to go until it hits the small screen, will it be as popular now?
After years of rumours and statements, it was confirmed in December that the series, which originally ran for nine seasons between 2001 and 2010, would be brought back with several cast members set to return.
With a release date pencilled in for February 2026, we now have a first glimpse at the revival, with John Michael “JD” Dorian (Zach Braff), Chris Turk (Donald Faison) and Elliot Reid (Sarah Chalke) all walking through a hospital.
“I’m back baby,” exclaims JD, with the camera cutting to several younger staff members at the hospital. As JD continues to make a fool of himself, Carla Espinosa (Judy Reyes) and Perry Cox (John C McGinley) come into shot.
With anticipation at an all-time high for the series, several fans took to social media to share their thoughts on the teaser, with one commenting on YouTube: “This is going to be awesome!!!! One of my favourite shows all-time.”

“Omg I love this show so much! It’s so good to see the original cast! ” added one enthusiastic fan, with another commenting: “Wow new scrubs, so exciting with all the old cast.”
Some viewers were more sceptical, however, with one writing: “I get the nostalgia. I do. But damn, did this show not have a beautiful lifespan and amazing finale. Probably the best finale of a sitcom I’ve ever seen.”
“I’m not going to hold my breath on this one, I hope it’s good, but reboots usually aren’t, idk if the humour will translate in this era, nostalgia alone isn’t enough!,” wrote another fan, while one user said the teaser felt “forced”.

Original series creator Bill Lawrence will serve as an executive producer for the upcoming season, of which the logline reads: “JD and Turk scrub in together for the first time in a long time.
“Medicine has changed, interns have changed, but their bromance has stood the test of time. Characters new and old navigate the waters of Sacred Heart with laughter, heart and some surprises along the way.”
Scrubs season 10 premieres on Hulu and ABC on 25 February 2026.
