Happy Mondays have shared their plans to celebrate the 35th anniversary of their third studio album, Pills ‘n’ Thrills and Bellyaches, with a string of gigs around the UK next year.
The Madchester rockers shows – which kick off at Newcastle’s O2 Hall on March 13 – will come to the Nick Rayns LCR at the UEA on March 29.
Pills ‘n’ Thrills and Bellyaches was released on November 5, 1990, and includes the band’s popular singles Kinky Afro and Step On.

When it was released, the record peaked at number four in the UK, selling more than 350,000 copies and spending a consecutive 28 weeks in the charts.
For the tour, Shaun Ryder and Bez will be joined by Mark Day on the guitar, Gary Whelan on drums, Dan Broad on guitar and keys and Firouzeh Berry, who is Bez’s wife, will sing backing vocals.
