Georgia Wareham put on an all-round clinic (3-21 and 49* off 29) to keep Melbourne Renegades in the hunt for a top-four finish. Her first effort kept third-placed Sydney Sixers down to 130 for 9, and the second enabled the Renegades in chase. With that, the Renegades finish the league stage on 10 points and fourth spot. They now await results of the other teams around them to learn their fate. Perth Scorchers – also on 10 points, can usurp them if they beat bottom-placed Brisbane Heat in their last game. Adelaide Strikers – at sixth with eight points – will also be in the mix if they can beat Hobart Hurricanes and Sydney Sixers – the teams currently sitting at #1 and #3.
