Hull KR are set to host Wakefield Trinity in a pre-season trial match next year. The Robins’ sole warm-up game before the season kicks off will be against one of last year’s play-off contenders, with Daryl Powell expected to bring his squad to Sewell Group Craven Park on Sunday, 25th January.

The Rovers’ only pre-season match in 2026 will follow their annual warm-weather training camp in Tenerife, which they’ll head to on 9th January.

The match is scheduled for the weekend after their return to the UK, and they’ll then have a weekend off before their first competitive fixture. This will take place in the third round of the Challenge Cup on the weekend of 7/8th February.

This game will be an away fixture as part of the new cup format, which ensures top-tier teams play against a team that has progressed from the initial rounds at an away venue.

Rovers will then kick off their Super League defence on Thursday, 12th February against York Knights at the LNER Community Stadium. This will be followed by the World Club Challenge against Brisbane Broncos and a Las Vegas clash with Leeds Rhinos a week later.

It’s set to be a busy start to the year for Willie Peters’ treble-winning side.
