Wild boars that have been seen walking into traffic and fighting have led police to warn drivers to be “mindful” of a stretch of road.
At least two boars have been spotted on Stoner Hill Road in Petersfield, Hampshire, causing queues of traffic.
Fiona Holroyde, from nearby Froxfield, said she had seen boars on at least four occasions since Thursday, having previously not witnessed them in the area before.
She said on Saturday afternoon she saw the “gruesome” sight of a “really stocky” boar wrestle a “very scrawny” one onto the road, causing traffic to stop.
