Wilfried Nancy will have plenty to ponder ahead of the January transfer window.

Celtic’s 2-1 loss against Hearts showed that there is plenty for the Frenchman to work on as he was given a huge reality check.

Nancy went with his 3-4-3 formation and the players clearly need to adapt to the new style sooner rather than later.

The defence in particular looked all over the shop, and while the 48-year-old goes back to the drawing board to think of a solution, another centre-back is enjoying life out on loan.

Maik Nawrocki impresses again for Hannover 96

He has had to wait patiently for his chance, but Maik Nawrocki is beginning to love life at Hannover 96.

Nawrocki has become a first-team regular at the German second division side and has impressed again.

The centre-back assisted again for Hannover in their 2-2 draw against Preussen Munster.

His assist provided the opener, but they weren’t able to hold on and allowed Munster to come from 2-0 down to level the game.

Could Maik Nawrocki be an option for Celtic?

It is clear that the Hoops are going to be playing with a three-at-the-back formation, the Poland international’s Celtic career may not be over just yet.

Hannover 96 have an option to buy the defender, but the 24-year-old is performing to such a level that it is impossible to ignore.

Celtic fans were impressed with Nawrocki when he featured last season, especially for his ability on the ball.

Depending on how the transfer window goes, recalling the centre-back may not be the worst idea in the world.
