Leinster stars RG Snyman and Garry Ringrose are set for further assessment on injuries picked up in their Investec Champions Cup victory over Harlequins, while Jordan Larmour has been ruled out of their upcoming visit to Leicester Tigers.

The trio all departed the pitch during Saturday’s 45-28 victory over the PREM outfit, with Larmour and Ringrose both getting on the scoresheet prior to their exits.

They join a growing list of injury concerns for the reigning URC champions ahead of their trip to Mattioli Woods Welford Road, with Cormac Foley, Hugo Keenan, James Culhane, Jamie Osborne, Ryan Baird and Andrew Porter also currently out of action.

Leinster to ‘further assess’ RG Snyman and Garry Ringrose as Jordan Larmour ruled out

Of the trio, Larmour was the main concern following the victory on Saturday, and the club have now confirmed he will miss this weekend’s game through a hamstring injury.

“Jordan looks probably the most significant of them all, I think,” Leinster head coach Leo Cullen said of Larmour on Saturday. “But that’s early days; he’s done something there. Straight away, he said he was uncomfortable.”

At the time of writing, there is no confirmation of a potential return date.

Elsewhere, Springbok star Snyman and Ireland and Lions ace Ringrose will be sent for further assessment on respective shoulder and lower limb injuries.

“RG just was a bit uncomfortable, but again, I don’t know,” Cullen said of the towering lock. “He’ll go off and get whatever scan or X-ray, whatever’s going on there.”

Of Ringrose, he added: “Garry, I think that was just cramped, but he easily went down, so let’s see, I’m not sure with him. So again, short turnaround. The games are coming thick and fast at the moment.”

A final decision on the pair will be made later this week.

James Lowe set for Leinster comeback

While these will come as a big blow to Cullen and Leinster, the heavyweights are boosted by the return of Ireland ace James Lowe. The winger has been out of action since Ireland’s defeat to the Springboks last month with a calf issue, but is now back in full training and available for selection.

Elsewhere, fellow Ireland international Will Connors is also back in training, but will be assessed throughout the week before a judgment is made on his availability.
