Coronation Street fans think they have ‘worked out’ what’s next for Abi Webster as her affair with Carl stepped up a notch.
As those who follow the ITV soap know, Carl only arrived in Weatherfield for the first time back in April, having only ever been mentioned by name.
He made his first appearance following a minor collision in Frescho’s car park with Abi Wester, who he didn’t know is his sister-in-law as she’s married to his half-brother, Kevin.
Carl quickly took a shine to the mechanic, despite her anger, and even hit him in the face. Carl asked Abi out for a drink, but she refused as she reminded him she was married and her husband was undergoing cancer treatment.

There was clearly a spark between the pair, but they went their separate ways. Later, Abi was shocked to see Carl arrive at the Bistro, with Kevin and Debbie excited to see their little brother.
Since then, Abi has tried to resist Carl’s advances, as he relentlessly pursued her, despite her marriage to Kevin. Picking up on something going on between the pair, Kevin made a drastic decision to keep Abi in his life.
Having recently undergone treatment for testicular cancer, Kevin lied and told Abi that while the cancer hadn’t spread, it wasn’t gone either and that he’d need to have more treatment.
But things came to a head during Monday’s (July 28) episode of Corrie as Tyrone Dobbs, who had already rumbled Kevin’s deception, could not hold it in any longer and blurted out to Abi that there was no cancer as she shared her worry with him that Kevin would die.
Furious, Abi stormed home to number 13 where she demanded answers from her husband. Kevin tried to tell Abi that he was ‘so, so sorry’ for what he had done, but had tried to justify it by sharing his insecurity about their relationship, and her closeness with Carl.

Abi told Kevin there was ‘nothing going on’ between her and Carl before she left. Kevin then decided to confront Carl, who has also found out about his brother’s lie, as his own dodgy deals within the garage came to light. But he was shocked to find out it was Tyrone who had revealed all.
Eventually, Abi went to see Carl and confessed her feelings, telling him: “You are all I think about,” before the pair shared a passionate kiss in the garage.
It was later revealed that things had got much more physical between the pair, as Abi was seen getting dressed after sleeping with Carl, claiming that things with Kevin were over.

Following the scenes, Corrie fans think they have rumbled what will happen next for Abi, and it could leave her in quite the predicament.
