Treble winners Hull KR have plenty to look forward to as the 2026 Super League season approaches.
As a reward for beating Wigan Warriors in the Super League Grand Final, Willie Peters’ side will take on Brisbane Broncos in the World Club Challenge in February. The Robins have sold out the MKM Stadium for the game and they’ll fancy their chances of catching what many believe to be the best side in the world cold.
Then, just a week later, KR will be boarding a plane to Las Vegas to play at the Allegiant Stadium against Leeds Rhinos.
Beyond that, they have the small matter of trying to defend the three trophies they won in 2025 in what was a history making campaign.
It’s fair to say they’ll be busy over the next few months then, but they’ll constantly have one eye on their retention and recruitment and it won’t be too long before decisions have to be made on those who are in the final year of their contracts.
With that in mind, here’s a look at KR’s current contract situation.
Hull KR contract state of play
2026: Jack Brown, Joe Burgess, Lee Kershaw, Leon Ruan, Oliver Gildart, Peta Hiku, Rhyse Martin, Sauaso Sue, Zach Fishwick.
There’s a few big names on the list above and it would be a real surprise if KR weren’t already talking to the likes of Joe Burgess, Oliver Gildart, Peta Hiku and Sauaso Sue to tie them down for at least another year.
Rhyse Martin is 15 games into his Rovers career after struggling with injury last season, but a strong start to the season from him should be enough to secure the offer of a new deal.
Jack Brown knows he needs a big pre-season if he is to force his way into Willie Peters’ plans, while decisions on Lee Kershaw, Leon Ruan and Zach Fishwick can expect to be made later in the year.
2027: Dean Hadley, Jack Broadbent, Cobie Wainhouse, Harvey Horne, Louix Gorman, Sam Luckley, Tom Davies, Tyrone May.
Rovers have just secured Dean Hadley for two more years and they’ll be sitting comfortably regarding the futures of Luckley, Davies and May, too. Jack Broadbent has played a key role since joining the club, despite never seemingly having a spot in the first choice starting XIII nailed down.
KR will be keen to tie him down to a longer deal you’d think but Broadbent might need more assurances of game time before agreeing to anything.
The onus is on Wainhouse, Horne and Gorman to force their way into Peters’ plans before any decision is made there.
2028: Arthur Mourgue, Bill Leyland, Declan Murphy, Jordan Dezaria, Jumah Sambou, Noah Booth, Tom Amone, Tom Whitehead
All of these have joined the club in the last 12 months and KR won’t be giving their contracts too much thought for this season at least.
2029: Jez Litten, Elliot Minchella, James Batchelor, Jai Whitbread, Jack Charles.
Wrapping up Jez Litten was huge for the Robins in the face of interest from elsewhere. To know that Elliot Minchella, James Batchelor and Jai Whitbread won’t be going anywhere any time soon either will please Hull KR.
The four-year deal Jack Charles signed shows just how highly he is rated by the Robins after joining from Hull FC.
2030: Mikey Lewis
A deal that wraps Lewis up for much of his peak years as a player and with no NRL clause, he’s going nowhere.
