The Red Devils have lost only once in their last five Premier League matches and United returned to winning ways against Wolves at the Molineux on Monday.
Ruben Amorim has been forced to weather a storm of criticism in his United managerial reign since his arrival from Sporting CP during the 2024-25 season.
The 40-year-old Portuguese head coach has experienced the highs and lows at Old Trafford so far since he replaced Erik ten Hag in the Red Devils’ dugout in 2024.

Following Manchester United’s 4-1 thumping of Wolves earlier this week, the Red Devils won’t return to Premier League action until this Monday evening.
The Red Devils will host Bournemouth in the Premier League at Old Trafford, with United’s match slated for an 8pm kick-off time in the UK.
Speaking to CBS Sports Golazo, Nemanja Vidic was asked for his feelings on United’s struggles in the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era and the club’s form in recent times.

The 44-year-old United legend believes that Ruben Amorim will know that the most important thing is for the Red Devils to secure European football for next season.
“To be fair, when you [are] speaking about my time recently, we [were] always competing [and] won the big trophies, playing Champions League finals, three times, five league titles,” Vidic said.
“So, it’s [a] very successful era. But if you look at the Man United [sides] in the last few years, we are [a] bit struggling to compete on a big level.
“Obviously, this season I think his target is to play European football and move from there.”

Ineos opened up United’s cash-strapped war chest and the Sir Jim Ratcliffe-backed regime splashed out on several new signings back in the summer for Amorim.
Bryan Mbeumo, Senne Lammens, Benjamin Sesko, Diego Leon and Matheus Cunha all arrived at Old Trafford as part of the first major overhaul of United’s squad.

Vidic, who enjoyed incredible success under Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford, has said that United’s recent signings are the first catalyst for major change at the club.
“Obviously, the signings we have this season, I hope that they’re going to settle fast and they’re going to be the players that they’re going to take us to the better days because we need players to be consistent,” he added.
The Red Devils have won two of their last five Premier League matches and United’s last defeat came against 10-man Everton at Old Trafford in November.
