Andrew Tate did not mince his words after rival Chase DeMoor made a multitude of injury claims ahead of their mouthwatering showdown.

The pair are expected to meet in the middle of the ring on Saturday, December 20 in Dubai. Tate – who has not fought since his kickboxing victory over Cosmin Lingurar five years ago – will be making a stunning comeback under the Misfits Boxing banner.

He faces a tough task in the shape of DeMoor, the reigning heavyweight champion. The ex-reality TV star has fought six times this year, most recently stopping Devinson Guerra inside a round. Tate is seemingly ready for war, and has evidently endured some tough rounds in sparring in the build-up to the clash.

Ahead of their highly-anticipated clash, DeMoor could not resist a verbal jab at his upcoming foe, hinting that he may be suffering with some injuries. That said, Tate could not be more unfazed by the American’s verbal jabs, insisting that he has beaten bigger men in the past, and that December 20 will be no different.

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul will face off for a heavyweight clash in Miami on December 19. The fight will stream live on Netflix, which fans can get for free with Sky’s £15 Essential TV bundle, the brand’s ‘lowest ever price’ for Sky TV.

“So, he’s probably right there. I mean, I’m a very objective person. He has a lot more to gain and I have a lot more to lose. I’ve given an effective, without disrespect, nobody a chance. And I’ve done that because I believe that I need to test myself and I want to see the quality of the roster on Misfits. So, he’s right. And my brand perhaps is based on taking the biggest possible risks and putting my money where my mouth is and struggling and suffering and showing that I’m really about it,” Tate said during a pre-fight face-off.

“You know, to be top G and run your mouth and say certain things is very different than show up on the day and actually perform. So, he’s right about that. I have a lot to lose. He has it all to gain. when he’s knocked out, he doesn’t lose anything. It doesn’t matter. It’s all, you know, on me. But I understood that before I accepted the fight. And uh I also understand what he’s saying. I mean, a lot of that would have been discussed in his camp. The cope, right? You know, he’s old and he doesn’t train anymore and his biceps torn and he hasn’t fought for a long time and he’s not a boxer.

“All that cope they would have been thrown around for a very long time. But we’re going to see on the night and I think a lot of people who believe in Chase, there’s a lot of people on the internet who believe in him, which actually I find quite refreshing. I’d be very upset if everyone said this was going to be one-sided. I don’t want that. I want people to believe he’s going to beat me and I want people to be surprised on the night because, you know, I’ve beaten bigger things than Chase and I’ve beaten bigger men than Chase and I’ve fought people with a lot more experience than Chase and I fought things outside of the ring much bigger than Chase. So, I’m very very excited to fight him.”

Tate is very much being billed as the A-fighter heading into this one, despite DeMoor holding the coveted gold prize. The American felt as if he was left shafted during negotiations after the former kickboxing world champion and controversial influencer insisted on a weight clause for their fight.

“I unfortunately cannot eat tangerines because Mr Tate is so scared of me that he put a 40lb weight clause in there, so I have to be drinking water,” said DeMoor at the pre-fight press conference. Tate, left rather bemused by his rival’s remarks, replied: “Wait, wait, wait… sorry. Is there a weight limit… at a boxing match?! Woah, is there a weight limit at a boxing match?” Unsurprisingly, the pair started trading verbal jabs at each other. “For a heavyweight title fight, there should not be,” blasted DeMoor. “Did you not sign the contract?” quipped Tate. “You signed the contracts” an enthused DeMoor replied. “I did not sign anything. It was ‘Andrew insists this, Andrew wants that.’ I wanted 10 rounds in an open weight limit. You wanted a weight limit and six rounds buddy… we ain’t the same.”
