Taking to Instagram Stories, Tom pledged his allegiance to SpudBros and Vicky McClure’s Our Dementia Choir release Brighter Than The Night, which raises money for the Our Dementia Choir charity, who Tom’s previously worked with.
Reposting a clip of Brighter Than The Night to social media, Tom said: “This is my Christmas Number 1.”
Tom performed with Our Dementia Choir, led by actress Vicky McClure, in 2022 in a bid to raise awareness of dementia through music.
Speaking on their single, social media stars SpudBros – brothers Jacob and Harley Nelson – say: “We still can’t believe how far this has come from two lads in a tram in Preston.
“Working with Our Dementia Choir and Vicky McClure has been incredible. This Christmas, we just want to spread as much joy as possible.”

The 2025 Official Christmas Number 1 will be announced on Friday, December 19. The full Christmas Top 40 will be counted down on BBC Radio 1’s The Official Chart with Jack Saunders from 3pm GMT.
The full Top 100 Official Christmas Singles Chart and Official Christmas Albums Chart will be published on OfficialCharts.com from 5.45pm GMT.
