The collection was organised to mark World Kindness Day, with donations supporting the Little Box of Love at Christmas appeal being run by Greenock-based charity Mind Mosaic Child and Family Therapies.

The charity will work to ensure the gifts reach children and families in Inverclyde who need them most.
The Critical Care Unit team received donations from colleagues across the IRH, as well as volunteers from the Royal Voluntary Service and families visiting patients – all of whom helped make the appeal a success.
Dozens of toys and gifts were delivered to the charity’s base at Ladyburn Business Centre in Pottery Street last week.
Mind Mosaic thanked the IRH staff on social media and told how the items would be distributed to Inverclyde children in need this Christmas.

Yvonne Dolan, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Lead Nurse for Critical Care at the IRH, said: “Our team wanted to do something special to spread kindness and support families in our community.
“Seeing the generosity of staff and supporters has been truly heart-warming – we hope these gifts bring joy to children this Christmas.
“Doing appeals such as these, and receiving so much support from volunteers and members of our community, really boosts staff morale and it’s a wonderful reminder of the difference we can make when we come together.”
