The BBC’s longest-running soap is heading out on tour to celebrate a milestone anniversary, and we’re not talking about EastEnders (that was earlier this year). We’re talking about the radio stalwart The Archers, which has been broadcast since 1951 (although technically some pilot episodes went out in 1950).
Over the last 75 years, the show has aired over 20,000 episodes, and will be celebrating this special occasion by making the leap from speakers to the stage.
Between June and November 2026, The Archers superfan and comedian Angela Barnes will host dozens of live shows that will feature a mix of on-stage performances of exclusively-written scenes from the cast (with live foley!), interviews, behind-the-secrets secrets about the making of the show, quizzes, and a sing-along of that theme tune.
“I am not just an Archers superfan, I am obsessed with all things Ambridge. So to be asked to host The Archers: Live at 75 is like winning a prize at the Flower and Produce Show and being cast as the lead in a Lynda Snell production, all rolled into one,” Barnes said.
“I can’t wait to hang out with all of my favourite characters and really immerse myself in Borsetshire life.”

Each show will be a unique experience, especially as it won’t be the same actors at every show, operating on a rotating basis instead.
The full cast list will be announced in early 2026, and it’s promised to include a mix of veterans and newer stars.
That’s not all, further dates beyond the ones listed below are also slated to be announced in due course.
