The champion of Celebrity MasterChef 2025 was revealed on Friday evening following an intense final showdown in the kitchen.
After five gruelling weeks of competition featuring 15 celebrities, the top three contestants – Welsh rugby icon Alun Wyn Jones, writer and broadcaster Dawn O’Porter, and drag performer Ginger Johnson – faced the ultimate challenge of creating a three-course feast within three hours.
Watched closely by departing judge John Torode and newcomer Grace Dent, the trio poured everything into their concluding culinary challenge before the victor was declared.
Ginger claimed the coveted trophy after wowing the judging panel with “intriguing and inventive” creations, including a 1970s dinner party-inspired menu during the finale.
An emotional Ginger exclaimed: “I can’t believe this, I’m honestly so shocked. I really just thought I was going to come here and have a laugh and I can’t believe that this is the end result of this competition – it’s absolutely crazy,” reports Wales Online.
Fans flocked to social media platform X to celebrate Ginger’s triumph.

A second viewer said: “Such a brilliant #CelebrityMasterChef final. The standard was incredible. I am thrilled for @GingerJohnson_ though, she absolutely deserved the win for growing throughout, taking risks and smashing that last meal.”
Another fan declared: “We said from week one that @GingerJohnson_ would win! ! She’s brilliant, talented and really funny!”.

Yet another supporter wrote: “I have loved this year’s #celebritymasterchef. All 3 deserved to win. Huge congratulations to @GingerJohnson_ bloody mary brilliant! Well done Dawn and Alun Wyn xxx”.
Ginger’s triumphant three-course menu drew inspiration from a 1970s dinner party theme, featuring a Bloody Mary prawn cocktail as her starter, followed by duck leg pie accompanied by an orange and wine sauce for the main course, and finishing with a spectacular Baked Alaska for pudding.

In contrast, Alun crafted his menu as a tribute to his culinary journey throughout the competition, showcasing the techniques he’d mastered along the way. He presented butter-poached trout with caviar sauce and crispy potato spirals for his opening course, followed by classic steak and chips, before concluding with a passion fruit tart.
Reflecting on his performance afterwards, Alun remarked: “It was an experience to say the least. I will have hopefully given the best of myself on a plate.”
Meanwhile, Dawn revealed she was “laying my heart on a plate” with her story menu. Her starter featured a fusion of tacos and crab, followed by salt-baked trout accompanied by ratatouille, and concluded with smores for dessert.
“I honestly couldn’t have given any more of myself to this process,” Dawn reflected after receiving praise from the judges for her menu.

Whilst this series marked John Torode’s final appearance, it signalled Grace’s first outing as a judge. Within moments of the series launching last month, viewers were quick to voice their approval of the new addition.
One viewer gushed: “I love Grace Dent she’ll smash this presenting role.”
Another added: “Loving Grace Dent already.”
A third enthused: “Great to have #CelebrityMasterChef back. Love the new set and the addition of little challenges like the palate test. Grace Dent is the perfect addition as a host and judge too, breathing new life into the whole show.”
Grace stepped in to replace the ousted Gregg Wallace, who was sacked following an investigation into his behaviour that resulted in 45 out of 83 complaints being upheld. Grace will be partnered with Irish chef Anna Haugh for the upcoming series.
