9 gadgets I always pack to stay productive during holiday travel

The end of year is upon us, and for many that means hopping in a plane, train or automobile and spending a few hours traveling for the holidays.

Personally I typically end up on a cross-country flight out to the snowy wilds of the American East most years, and that means I have 6-10 hours of travel time either way. If I’ve got nothing to do that’s a great time to catch up on sleep or my favorite podcasts, but as often as not I’ve still got a few last-minute projects to wrap up at work before the year is out.

I know few of us love working while traveling, but it’s a fact of life for journalists like me and over the last few years I’ve gotten pretty good at packing exactly what I need to stay productive on the go without weighing my bag down with useless gadgets.

As I’m packing up my bag for this year’s trip I figured it might be helpful to share some links to what I’m taking! From an ultra-light, long-lasting laptop with ergonomic accessories to noise-cancelling headphones and an Apple AirTag to keep track of it all, these are the 9 gadgets I can’t travel without if I want to get work done!
