HomeTracksSomething for the weekend: Aimee Mann “I Was Thinking I Could Clean Up for Christmas”
Credit: Sheryl Nields

Well that’s it from us for another week dear reader. We’ll be back on Monday where we announce our writers’ top 10 albums of 2025 and then our final day of posting for the year on Tuesday where we reveal this year’s winners from this year’s readers poll. In the meantime, Paul Villers, our community forums editor, challenged anyone to come up with a Christmas song you’d listen to all year round which was a fair enough point but then I remembered this little gem which on a perusal through our archives he shared himself back in 2018 (but again in December to be fair). It’s a good opportunity to remind people that “The Forgotten Arm” is one of the greatest albums ever recorded.

Take care until Monday, don’t forget Palestine particularly this time of year and keep fighting the fascists. See you next week.
