The administrator at Featherstone Rovers has shared a key update regarding the club’s future ownership ahead of a possible 2026 campaign.
Andrew Rosler, the man who was put in charge of the administration process after it was confirmed the club’s Administration Order had been accepted, has shared a statement via the club’s channels.
After his appointment as the club’s administrator, the RFL confirmed the “very tight” deadline of Friday, 19th December for any expressions of interest in purchasing the club.
A statement had confirmed: “Given the proximity of the new season, The Rugby Football League (RFL) have set a very tight timescale for all interested parties in acquiring the Club (and to gain membership of the RFL) to deliver their initial submissions by 4pm on Friday 19th December 2025.”
From that point onwards, the RFL would undertake a period of assessment and decision making and Rosler has now confirmed that one party express interest.
One party shows interest in Featherstone Rovers
A statement shared on Featherstone Rovers’ social media channels but penned by Andrew Rosler confirmed that one interested party had met the 4pm deadline.
That statement read: “I can confirm that as at the expiry of the deadline of 4pm today, there has been one submission by an interested party provided to the RFL in respect of the club.
“The interested party and the Administrators team at Ideal Corporate Solutions will work alongside the RFL to secure a swift conclusion to the assessment process to safeguard the future of the club.”
The fate of Featherstone Rovers now sits in the hands of the RFL with the governing body set to assess the validity of the interested team and then decide on their ownership credentials.
With the Championship season starting in under a month, it will be a very tight turnaround should any Featherstone-based club play in 2026.
