It’s hard to imagine an elephant with more personality than Ollie, a two-year-old pachyderm living at the Nairobi Nursery in Kenya. He is a spunky young elephant who recently showed us his inner gentleman tendencies, and honestly, he might just be the cutest animal on the planet.

Ollie, short for Olomunyak, is one of the youngest rescued elephants living at the nursery. In a recent Instagram post shared by @sheldricktrust, we get a quick glimpse of just how chill Ollie is and the special ways that he lets his personality shine through every single day.

Every evening, when it’s time for the baby elephants to return to their stalls, they get some private time to reflect on their day. As we see in the clip, Ollie is most relaxed when he winds down for the night, but it’s also the time of day when he gets a little playful and silly.

As the video begins, it’s clear the sweet elephant not only enjoys hay as a snack but also thinks it’s the perfect accessory to wear on his head. As the caption reads, “A tasteful cap perched atop his head, legs crossed in relaxation, little Olomunyak is a picture of elephant contentment!”

After a fun day out in the park, he apparently decided bedtime was the perfect time to be creative, so he made himself a straw hat. But the best part of the whole scene is Ollie standing with his legs crossed like he’s having a full-on James Dean moment.

He is a cool kid—or elephant—and clearly lives his life exactly the way that he wants to. While he may not wear pajamas, the perfect bedtime accessory is very important, and Ollie is just trying to stay on trend with the latest fashion.

Then @sandypiperyarns admitted, “Sometimes the only time I smile in a day is seeing these pics… so pure and innocent!” and @mare_pear joked, “That gives new meaning to the term ‘nightcap’!”

Elephants are magnificent creatures, full of personality, love for their family herd, and an incredible level of intelligence that shines through in everything they do. We can’t wait to keep an eye on Ollie as he continues his journey toward reintegration.
