A murder investigation has been launched after a woman found seriously injured at a house in Huddersfield died.
Lisa Smith, 33, was taken to hospital after officers were called to an address in Fernside Avenue at 00:26 GMT on Friday, but died two days later.
West Yorkshire Police said they were now treating their inquiry as a murder investigation pending a forensic post mortem examination.
Gareth Brook, 34, of Fernside Avenue, was previously charged with a Section 18 wounding with intent in relation to the incident. He appeared in court on Saturday where he was was remanded in custody to appear at Leeds Crown Court on 16 January.
