Three more pre-season fixtures have been confirmed with one Super League side set to play both Leeds Rhinos and St Helens in the New Year.
Despite it not yet being Christmas, we have already seen some pre-season action take place with Sheffield Eagles beating Keighley Cougars and North Wales Crusaders hammering Swinton Lions.
More pre-season action will take place on Boxing Day as Leeds Rhinos take on Wakefield Trinity in the traditional clash between the pair, with Wakefield having just confirmed their squad for that clash.
Leeds already had one January fixture locked in with Cameron Smith’s testimonial scheduled for Saturday, 24th January, but another game has now been confirmed with Castleford Tigers set to play them the week prior in an all-Super League clash.
That game will serve as Brad Singleton’s testimonial with Castleford confirming it as one of three pre-season games in January as they prepare for their first Super League campaign under new head coach Ryan Carr.

The first of those games will be against Championship opponents Oldham on Saturday, 10th January in a game that had initially been expected to take place in Spain as part of the Benidorm Bash.
Both clubs have taken the decision to cancel that event meaning it will now be played at Castleford’s OneBore Stadium with a 3:00 pm kick-off time confirmed.
Eight days later, on Sunday, 18th January, they will host Leeds Rhinos for Brad Singleton’s testimonial match before then heading for their sole road game in pre-season.
They will travel to St Helens on Saturday, 24th January to compete in Matty Lees’ testimonial match, meaning the Tigers finish their run of pre-season games two weeks in advance of their entry to the Challenge Cup.
Ticket details for both home games have been confirmed on Castleford’s website with details for the St Helens game to come in due course.
