Christmas Eve opening hours at Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Lidl, Aldi and Morrisons

As we all know, supermarkets tend to close on Christmas Day, and for that reason, many of us will be scrambling to get to the shops on Christmas Eve.

Whether it’s last-minute trimmings for your roast dinner or an emergency pint of milk, there tends to be something you need right up until the day itself. Thankfully most shops do stay open on Christmas Eve; however, many will operate different hours than usual.

To make sure you don’t miss out on the last bits of shopping you need, it’s best to check your local supermarket opening hours ahead of time.

Read on for a list of Christmas Eve opening hours at Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Lidl, Aldi and Morrisons.

Tesco

Tesco Extra stores and Superstores will close at 7pm, with some variations on the Isle of Man.

Express stores will all be closed by 10pm, but some may close at 7pm.

Sainsbury’s

Larger Sainsbury’s supermarkets will be open from 6am until 7pm on Christmas Eve.

Convenience stores will be open from 6am until 9pm.

Asda

Most Asda stores will be open between 5am and 7pm.

Lidl

Lidl stores outside the M25 will be open 7am to 6pm.

Aldi

Aldi stores will operate normal opening hours on Christmas Eve. This is 8am until 10pm for most branches.

Morrisons

Opening hours vary between Morrisons stores, but the vast majority will be open from 6am until 6pm.
