Jordan Larsson was linked to Celtic over three years ago now.
The son of Celtic legend Henrik, Jordan Larsson has had to live in the shadow of his father but in fairness to him, he has carved out a career in his own right.
Now at FC Copenhagen, the Swedish international striker has just won the Danish Superliga and the Danish Cup last season as Larsson scored 11 goals in 33 games for Løverne.
Contracted till the summer of 2027, Larsson was last linked to Celtic in July 2022 but those rumours quickly cooled.
Just over a month later, Celtic dropped interest in Larsson and he joined FC Copenhagen where he has won two league titles and two league cups.
And speaking about his international teammate, Benjamin Nygren has sent the 28-year-old striker a Celtic transfer message.

Nygren is a close friend of ‘amazing guy’ Larsson and has told him that despite being linked to Celtic years ago, he still has time to make the dream move to Paradise.
Nygren told The Scottish Sun, “The last time I spoke with Jordan was when we were away with the national team a month ago.
“Of course, I know about his dad — the King of Kings, right?
“I have seen many YouTube clips of him scoring a lot of goals for Celtic.
“I haven’t met Henrik, but Jordan is an amazing guy and he is also doing very well in his football career.
Referring to Larsson being linked to Celtic over the past few years, Nygren had a transfer message to his international teammate, “Yeah, and it’s never too late, you know!
“But that’s not my job. That’s for the sporting director.”
What Jordan Larsson told Benjamin Nygren after he joined Celtic
Clearly, the two players have a close bond. Playing in the Danish Superliga as opponents and as teammates in the Swedish national side has helped forge a real friendship.
And when Nygren joined Celtic, Larsson sent the 24-year-old winger a short, but sweet, message on Instagram.
Larsson simply said, “Congratulations, brother. 🙌🏽”
Not as prolific as Henrik, Jordan still boasts a decent goalscoring record of 98 goals in 356 games.
Will he ever score in the famous green and white Hoops at Celtic Park? As Nygren says, it’s never too late.
