Josh Philippe – a wonderfully gifted player, Philippe had lost his touch over the last few seasons which he finally seems to have found once more, averaging 56.66 for his 170 runs this season, while striking at a rapid rate of 165.04.

Marcus Stoinis – yet to be dismissed this season, the captain of the Stars has made 94 runs while striking at 177.35, icing two games and has taken three wickets at 13.66.

Haris Rauf – the leading wicket-taker for the Melbourne Stars this season, with five wickets in two games. Rauf is averaging just 12.2 per wicket and has struck once every 9.6 balls.
