Aberdeen has quietly confirmed its advice arm Aberdeen Financial Planning is up for sale.
Citywire New Model Adviser revealed the advice business, formerly known as 1825, was put up for sale in February as the asset manager moved to simplify its group structure.
At the time Aberdeen declined to comment. On page 43 of its half year results published this morning, the asset manager has now confirmed the group is seeking a buyer and hopes to sell within the next year.
