Sinners, the award-winning and critically acclaimed drama from Ryan Coogler, has landed on Sky Cinema and Now (with cinema membership).
Added to the platform on Boxing Day, the film, which stars Michael B. Jordan, Hailee Steinfeld, Miles Caton and Jack O’Connell, has been hailed as one of the best movies of 2025 by Digital Spy and other outlets.
Produced, written, and directed by Coogler, whose credits include Creed (2015) and Black Panther (2018), Sinners is set in the Mississippi Delta in 1932, and follows identical twins Stack and Smoke (both played by Jordan) as they return to their hometown to set up a juke joint for the local Black community.
After running into old acquaintances, including Stack’s ex-girlfriend Mary (Steinfeld), and Smoke’s estranged wife Annie (Wunmi Mosaku), the brothers prepare for the joint’s opening night with help from their cousin Sammie (Caton) – that is, until a group of vampires shows up.
Rounding out the cast, Jayme Lawson, Omar Benson Miller, Delroy Lindo and Saul Williams also appear in supporting roles.

Boasting a near-perfect score of 97% on Rotten Tomatoes, Sinners has won glowing reviews from critics. “Sinners is like nothing you’ve ever seen. It’s divisive, dangerous and primed to explode,” wrote The Travers Take.
Echoing this sentiment, The Los Angeles Times raved: “What a blood rush to exit Ryan Coogler’s Sinners aware that you’ve seen not merely a great movie but an eternal movie, one that will transcend today’s box office and tomorrow’s awards to live on as a forever favourite.”
Meanwhile, Slant Magazine declared: “Sinners is one of the most distinctive, confident mainstream films of the modern era.”

Joining Digital Spy for an exclusive interview, Hailee Steinfeld revealed that Sinners allowed her to explore her heritage. The actor, whose late grandfather was half-Filipino and half-Black, said that while she couldn’t speak to him directly, the film “led to so many wonderful and emotional and educational conversations” with her family.
“There are themes in this movie that will have you walking away with questions and thinking about bigger picture scenarios,” Steinfeld explained. “My grandfather, who is my connection to this, is no longer with us, and if he was, there are questions that I would ask him.”
“Being in this set that was so beautifully done, it just begs the question of what our ancestors went through and what they had to go through for us to be here now, living the life that we live.”
Sinners is available to stream on Sky Cinema and NOW (with cinema membership).
