Chelsea have already unearthed a few gems during the time where Todd Boehly and co have been in charge of the club, and they may well have found another in the form of Dastan Satpaev.

The 16-year-old has already made quite the impression in the early months of his professional career at Kairat Almaty, who are in the process of trying to qualify for the Champions League.

They kept this dream alive with a 3-2 aggregate win after being 2-0 down in the first leg of the second qualifying round, with Satpaev setting them up for the comeback victory.

Satpaev is the youngest Champions League goalscorer of all time, and will know that access to the group stages of the competition will give him the opportunity to face one of Europe’s best sides, including Chelsea.

Chelsea have broken the Kazakhstan league transfer record to bring in the youngster, with him set to join the club next summer.

After the likes of Estevao Willian and Andrey Santos will already have had a season under their belts at Stamford Bridge, the Blues will be hoping that they have another superstar waiting in the wings to make his mark at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues are already making efforts to do just that. According to Sports.Ru, they have had a coach working with Satpaev since his move was confirmed in order to assist with his development.

The report goes on to say that the player could actually leave Kazakhstan earlier, if he is granted a work permit before next summer.

Satpaev breaking records for club and country

As well as his electric start to life in club football, the teenager has made an impact for Kazakhstan too in the early stages of his career.

Satpaev has the record for youngest starter for his nation, and is expected to play a key part in the rest of their 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign.

Chelsea will be adding him along with a number of other big-money signings to their squad in the future. Geovany Quenda and Kendry Paez are still another year away from making their debuts for the club.

Satpaev still has plenty of development to do, however is clearly in the right hands, and the fact the Blues have a coach working personally with him suggests they have high hopes for him.
