The Masked Singer viewers are convinced they have unveiled Moth’s real identity after just one performance.
The beloved ITV competition returned on Saturday (January 3rd), with panellists Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan and Maya Jama ready to unmask season seven’s contestants.
For the first time ever, the show has introduced The Masked Singer Band, which will headline the first two episodes of the series. Tonight saw Goldfish performing with their band No Trout.
It was then up to the panel and fans at home to uncover the superstar masquerading as Goldfish, who was later revealed to be Anne Marie. Coincidentally, viewers had already guessed the singer’s identity before it was confirmed.

This year’s participants are Red Panda, Moth, Disc Jockey, Sloth, Gargoyle, Can of Worms, Conkers, Arctic Fox, Toastie, Teabag, Yak, and Monkey Business.
Moth took to the stage first, performing Mariah Carey’s nineties pop balled ‘Hero’. The singer captivated both the judges and viewers at home, but fans quickly recognised the voice hiding behind the mask.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, they shared theories that Sugababes band member Keisha Buchanan is Moth.
One viewer suggested: “Moth has to be Keisha from the Sugababes #MaskedSingerUK.” Someone else agreed: “Moth sounds like Keisha from the Sugababes…#maskedsingeruk.”
While a third penned: “Welcome Moth…a Sugababe if ever there was one,” with a fourth stating: “Sounds like Keisha from Sugababes to me but not sure! #MaskedSingerUK.”

And a fifth chimed in: “I’m calling it first show. I don’t know about any of the clues but Moth is Keisha from the Sugababes. My ears and gut are telling me it’s her. I will lose my fricking mind if I’m right.”
Keisha is best known as a founding member of the noughties girl group, alongside Mutya Buena and Siobhán Donaghy.
While fans are certain she is Moth, the panel of judges named other beloved pop stars as their guesses, including Jessie J, Paloma Faith and Alexandra Burke.
The Masked Singer continues on ITV1 and ITVX on Sunday (January 4) at 6.30pm
