It is looking likely that Liam Rosenior is going to be tasked with the responsibility of putting the pieces of Chelsea’s messy situation back together again.
The Blues are going into a huge game against Manchester City with their U21s manager in charge, although John Terry has already waxed lyrical over Calum McFarlane as a coach.
The sacking of Enzo Maresca has not gone down too well amongst Chelsea fans, and there will be a lot of pressure on Rosenior to instantly deliver results to get supporters back on board.

There have not been too many candidates mentioned in the hunt for a new manager, with a number of potential head coaches being ruled out very early.

Oliver Glasner was never in the frame after Maresca’s departure, despite the fact that his contract with Crystal Palace is set to expire at the end of the season.
Despite the club’s unwillingness to hire the FA Cup winner, Nigel Reo-Coker believes he would be a better person to hire than Rosenior, despite the fact he is close friends with the Strasbourg boss.
He told CBS Sports Golazo: ”Oliver Glasner is the best choice right now. Liam Rosenior is a great friend of mine, he’s doing great at Strasbourg, but I don’t think right now it would be the good or right opportunity for him.
“You know what it’s like, Chelsea fans will think Liam Rosenior is too young, Chelsea fans want a winner, Liam Rosenior is still on his journey to become a manager. Glasner has already proven he can win things.”

The hiring of Rosenior would certainly please Andrey Santos, who enjoyed a very successful tenure under him with the Ligue 1 side.

Liam Delap has also previously played for Rosenior during their time at Hull City, with the striker desperate for a run of goals since moving clubs.
There is going to be pressure on the English manager to deliver instantly upon arrival to Stamford Bridge. Chelsea fans are beginning to grow tired of the direction this project is going in.
However, the incoming manager deserves the backing of the Chelsea fans, with plenty still to play for in the 2025/26 campaign.
