US film star Timothée Chalamet made a rare tribute to his longtime girlfriend Kylie Jenner as he won the Critics Choice Award for Best Actor last night, declaring his love for the reality star. Timothée, 30, took to the stage at the prestigious do after winning the coveted gong for his performance in Josh Safdie drama Marty Supreme.

After beating the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio, Ethan Hawke and Michael B. Jordan, Timothée opened up about his relationship with the Kardashians star in his winner’s spech. “Thank you to my partner for three years,” he said.

“I love you. I couldn’t do this without you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.” The camera panned to Kylie in the audience, who mouthed the words ‘I love you’ back at the actor.

Marty Supreme has received rave reviews since premiering earlier this year, with Timothée starring as the titular shoe salesman who grafts to become a professional table tennis player in 1950s New York. The story was loosely based on that of American table tennis star Martin Reisman.

In his speech, Timothée admitted: “I’m more nervous than I thought I’d be,” before thanking director Josh Safdie. “You made a story about a flawed man with a relatable dream, and you didn’t preach to the audience about what’s right and wrong. I think we should all be telling stories like that.”

“Thank you for this dream,” he added. The American star also acknowledged his fellow nominees in the category: One Battle After Another’s Leonardo DiCaprio, Train Dreams’ Joel Edgerton, Blue Moon’s Ethan Hawke, Sinners’ Michael B. Jordan and The Secret Angel’s Wagner Moura.

Michael didn’t look too impressed with Timothée’s speech however, with the 38-year-old staying stony faced as the cameras cut to him. Fans saw the funny side to the TV moment, with one writing: “Not them cutting to Michael B Jordan,” as Timothée spoke about Kylie.

“the camera being on michael b jordan while timothee says thank you to my partner of three years,” another said, while a third wrote: “It’s taking me out how the camera work implies at first that his partner is michael b jordan.”

Kylie and Timothée began publicly dating in 2023, having kept their relationship private before then. Despite his public declaration of love at the Critics Choice Awards, the couple attended the Palm Springs International Film Festival separately the day before, posing solo on the red carpet.

Explaining their outfit, Paul told The Hollywood Reporter: “We’ve been shooting season five of Hacks and so we haven’t had a lot of time to shop so we just borrowed from friends.” Meg added: “My really close friend – I’m not going to name any names – she let me borrow this dress. Fits like a glove.”
