Broadband customers looking to switch their provider can take advantage of a deal that has been ranked above similar offers from the likes of Sky and BT. Plusnet is a provider that comes recommended by experts, having been voted as one of just three Recommended Providers in the UK by Which?.
In its roundup of the best broadband deals, Uswitch names the Plusnet Fibre package for £25.99 per month as one of the top options on the market, having previously crowned Plusnet as National Broadband Provider of the year. The comparison experts said that the company “sets the standard with reliable speeds, great value, and customer service that goes the extra mile”.
Plusnet also ranked as number one for Customer Service and Value for Money in the awards. The top package recommended by Uswitch sees customers offered a free £75 reward card when they sign up before August 6, although this is only available in certain areas so anyone hoping to make the switch will need to check whether their postcode is eligible.
The cheapest option for broadband with Plusnet, meanwhile, is the Full Fibre 74 package which is currently priced at £24.99 a month, with the £20 activation fee having been scrapped so that customers can now get set up for free. However, customers should be aware that this price will increase to £27.99 from March 31 next year and up again to £30.99 on the same date in 2027.
The Plusnet deal was rated by Uswitch above top offers from big-name tech providers, including BT Fibre 2 Broadband, which is priced from £28.99 per month and includes a £50 reward card, and Sky Superfast Broadband, which is cheaper at £25 per month and also comes with a £50 voucher. This might inspire customers to consider switching away from these household names.

However, there were a couple of big names that beat Plusnet in the Uswitch rankings with their own broadband deals. Taking the number one spot was the Virgin Media M125 Ultrafast Fibre package, priced from £23.99 per month with a £120 bill credit on top, while the Vodafone Fibre 2 package followed in second place, which costs £25 per month and comes with a £40 voucher.
Plusnet is the best provider out of these big names, according to analysis from Which?, who ranked it as the second best internet service provider in the UK behind Zen Internet. As a Which? Recommended Provider, it was described as “the cream of the crop” with an overall customer satisfaction score of 73%, narrowly beating Utility Warehouse which came in third place.
The Plusnet Fibre package was also singled out by Martin Lewis’ MoneySavingExpert (MSE) as one of the cheapest broadband deals available for most households. And the experts noted that while offers from Sky and Now may appear cheaper, customers should be aware that future price hikes in these contracts are not broken down into exact amounts as they are with other providers.
MSE explained: “Sky says its prices are variable, so it doesn’t publish pounds and pence price hikes in its contract. Yet it’s likely to do them each spring. If so, as you weren’t told in advance, you’ll have 30 days to leave penalty free. However, this does mean the ‘equivalent monthly cost’ we’re showing is likely a few pounds cheaper than the reality over the contract period. So do factor that in.”
Uswitch says of Plusnet: “Plusnet broadband deals are known for being great value for money, with fast connection speeds and excellent customer service. The provider even offers full fibre broadband deals, with download speeds up to 900Mbps available for very reasonable prices compared to other ultrafast internet providers.”
It adds: “If you’re looking for a well-priced internet contract, a Plusnet broadband deal will likely feature towards the top of your shortlist.”
