Sydney Sweeney has set pulses racing with her sexiest shoot yet.

The Hollywood beauty, 28, has sent pulses racing with sultry snaps lately. Last month, she went topless in her dressing room – after stunning fans with her ‘naked’ chainmail dress at the Variety Power of Women Awards.

And now she’s stripped off completely and covered herself in gold paint on the cover of W Magazine, Volume 1, Best Performances 4.

The A-lister looked sensational as she bared all in the dark, using only her hands to cover up her chest.

The star stared seductively at the camera while kneeling on a velvety sofa. She had her famous blonde locks styled in a bob for the shoot, which seemed to reference a moment from the James Bond franchise.

It would appear Sydney was paying homage to Shirley Eaton’s iconic death scene in Goldfinger on. Her character, Jill Masterson, dies in the 1964 classic after being suffocated with gold paint.

Sydney’s only piece of jewellery was a shiny choker necklace. It comes following her latest movie The Housemaid, which opened with around $20million [£14.8m) at the box office on its opening weekend – and has just been greenlit for a sequel.

The actress recently addressed claims that she could be the next Bond girl. It’s reported she’s backed by Jeff Bezos, boss of Amazon, which has acquired control of the Bond franchise.

She’s also linked to the franchise as her friend Denis Villeneuve is set to direct the next Bond film and is said to be keen to get her on board. A source said: “Sydney is the top name on the casting sheet for Bond.

“Denis believes she is hugely talented, as well as having an alluring appeal to younger generations, vital in modernising the franchise.

“They’ve hung out together a lot and he has admired her stratospheric rise. Plus Sydney has the quality of being athletic and able to perform physical scenes, as well as being feminine and following in the legacy of Bond girls.”

She fuelled the 007 rumours in a recent interview, but didn’t give much away. Asked if she could speak about them, she said “I can’t,” before adding: “To be honest, I don’t know all the Bond rumours, but I’ve always been a huge fan of the franchise, and I’m excited and curious to see what they do with it.”

Asked further about it, she admitted: “Depends on the script. I think I’d have more fun as James Bond.”
