The Cumbrian will face Danny Costello in his second pro fight later this month.

Carrigan, 18, will take on the West Midlands-based boxer at the Queensberry Magnificent 7 show at Co-op Live, Manchester, on Saturday, January 24.

It will be another much-anticipated fight involving the highly-rated Carrigan, who swept to a comfortable victory on his pro debut in October.

The super-welterweight contest will feature on the card topped by heavyweight star Moses Itauma’s fight against Jermaine Franklin, and which will be screened live on DAZN.

Nuneaton-based Costello, 25, is making his comeback after two years away from the professional scene, the southpaw having made his debut in 2022. He has three wins and a defeat on his professional record.

Border City Amateur Boxing Club product Carrigan, from Todhills, now trains at the Tenacity gym in Hartlepool and is part of Frank Warren’s Queensberry stable.

He eased to a first-round stoppage win against Dawid Przybylski in Glasgow on his pro debut in October.

That followed the Cumbrian’s step into the pro ranks after a title-strewn amateur career.

Queensberry promoter Warren said of the Manchester show: “We are thrilled to be delivering such a strong Magnificent 7 bounty for the fans in our first UK show of 2026. It is a statement of intent for the New Year and a sign of things to come.”
