Good Morning Britain underwent a show change on Friday, with fans quickly sharing their thoughts
Good Morning Britain fans have said the same thing over a Kate Garraway detail. Friday’s (January 9) instalment saw Kate and her co-star Ranvir Singh update viewers on the latest news from across the UK and around the world.
They were also joined in the studio by Laura Tobin, who delivered regular weather updates as Storm Goretti brought 99mph winds and heavy snow to the UK, with tens of thousands of people left without power.
ITV viewers took to X (formerly Twitter) just moments into the show as they realised that Kate and Ranvir were presenting together. GMB fans will know that the show’s hosting duo are usually a man and a woman.
“Good morning, all @GMB. Nice to have Kate and Ranvir on,” one person wrote, with another adding: “Lovely to see two amazing ladies presenting today,” reports Wales Online.

A third said: “Kate and Ranvir?” with another similarly sharing: “Omg love how it’s two women today.”
Today’s show underwent another change as Kate also handled the rest of the day’s news. The segment isn’t usually helmed by one of the main presenters.
Meanwhile, Ranvir hosted the London news after the capital’s local reporters lost their roles in the recent ITV shake-ups. Reporter Faye Barker took to Instagram earlier this week to confirm the changes.
“You would have seen the ITV London GMB bulletins are now being presented by one of the main GMB presenting team so they are in the best hands. All other regions will still have their own local presenter. So, a new dawn indeed,” she said.
GMB is hosted by Susanna Reid from Monday to Thursday, usually alongside Ed Balls or Richard Madeley. Friday’s show is helmed by a rotating roster of stars, including Kate, Ranvir Singh, Charlotte Hawkins, Rob Rinder, and Adil Ray.

Elsewhere on today’s GMB, Kate and Ranvir spoke to several reporters stationed in various locations as Storm Goretti grips the nation.
Yellow snow warnings now cover huge swathes of East Anglia, the Midlands, the North, and the South West, as well as almost all of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. A more severe amber snow warning has also been issued for much of central Wales, the Midlands, and parts of the North, with up to 30cm of snow predicted.
In affected areas, the Met Office is warning drivers could become stranded, while rail and air travellers face likely cancellations and delays. Met Office chief forecaster Neil Armstrong described Storm Goretti as a “multi-hazard event” with heavy rain, strong winds and snow.
Later, GMB’s Kate and Ranvir spoke to Chris Packham after the naturalist decided to transition his poodles, Sid and Nancy, to a plant-based diet, which he had already adopted.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX at 6am
