Marcus Rashford swapped shirts with a former Manchester United team-mate after Barcelona’s pre-season friendly win over FC Seoul.

The 27-year-old made his second appearance for the La Liga champions at the Seoul World Cup Stadium in South Korea on Thursday afternoon as goals from Robert Lewandowski, Andreas Christensen, Ferran Torres, and Gavi secured a resounding 7-3 triumph for Hansi Flick’s side.

The England international, who joined Barcelona on loan from Manchester United earlier this month, provided an assist for Gavi after he was introduced to the action at the start of the second half.

However, there was an equally special moment for Rashford after the game as he was reunited with former United team-mate and close friend Jesse Lingard, who has played for FC Seoul since leaving the Premier League in 2023.

In footage captured by FC Seoul’s social media accounts, Rashford and Lingard are seen laughing and joking in the tunnel after the game before the duo are joined by Barcelona’s teen sensation Lamine Yamal.

Posting to Instagram after the game, Lingard revealed that he had swapped shirts with both Rashford and Yamal.

Clearly, Rashford enjoyed the reunion with Lingard as he reposted the story to his own Instagram account with emojis included.

He will be hoping to revitalise his career in Catalonia having fallen out of favour with Reds head coach Ruben Amorim.

“The situation with Manchester United is that the club is going through a period of change, and this has been ongoing for some time,” Rashford said of his parent club. “I don’t have anything negative to say about Manchester United.”
