Today, Finland and Poland will reveal the artists that are competing to represent them at Eurovision 2026, while filming will begin for the Lithuanian selection.

🇵🇱 Poland: Eurovision 2026 Selection Finalists Announcement

The Polish broadcaster TVP will reveal the artists that are competing in its national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 today.

At least ten artists will be competing in the Polish selection. The participants chosen after live auditions in Warsaw in December. In addition to the finalists selected from the live auditions, TVP is allowed to select between 1 and 3 wildcard acts to also take part in the Polish selection.

According to the rules published by TVP, the Polish national final for Eurovision 2026 will take place on February 14. However, there is speculation that this date may change. Public voting alone will decide the winner. In the case of a tie or a technical fault, a back-up jury will decide the winner. The winner will represent Poland in Vienna.

Filming for the Lithuanian selection for the Eurovision Song Contest will commence today in Vilnius. Filming for the first show will take place at the main studio of the Lithuanian broadcaster LRT, with the broadcaster expected to release images from the recording later this evening.

The first Heat of Eurovizija.LT 2026 is set to be broadcast on January 24. The winner of Eurovizija.lt 2026 will be selected on February 27 at the Twinsbet Arena in Vilnius. This marks the first time that an arena in Vilnius has hosted the Lithuanian national final.

🇫🇮 Finland: UMK 2026 – Finalists Reveal – 18:30 CET

The seven acts that will compete to represent Finland at the 70th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest will be revealed this evening.

The reveal show will be broadcast live on Yle TV1 and Yle Areena from 18:30 CET will be hosted by Jasmin Beloued, who is joined by Eva Frantz, BESS, Samuli Väänänen and DJ Orkidea (Tapio Hakanen).

Joining the live studio audience of 300 fans is commentator Mikko Silvennoinen and radio presenter Katri Norrlin. Mikko will interview the seven acts being announced, while Katri will chat with the audience. Due to international interest, English language commentary of the show will be provided on Yle Areena by Jaakko Oleander.

The show will last 1 hour and will not only reveal the seven competing acts, but will also discuss more about UMK 2026 and what viewers can expect from the final on February 28.

Each competing entry, along with a music video, will be released individually from January 15 to 23. A total of 491 songs were submitted for UMK 2026, which marks a record number of submissions.
