The rocker delighted fans at a Falkirk pub just hours after watching his beloved team play in the time.

The 81-year-old was spotted singing along to Have You Ever Seen the Rain by Creedence Clearwater Revival, putting on a show for pubgoers in a night of unexpected music and cheer.

As he left the pub, the Maggie May singer hugged one of the patrons and said: “Cheers everybody, God bless.”

He was joined by long-time friend and musician John McLaughlin as they serenaded the crowd, who looked visibly stunned by the surprise.

Earlier in the evening, Sir Rod had been in Falkirk to watch Celtic’s narrow win over Falkirk.

A devoted Celtic fan, he had recently spoken out following the departure of Celtic manager Wilfried Nancy.

We reported that he expressed his views in a candid social media video less than an hour after the news broke.

Dressed in a red polo neck and winter coat, he addressed fans from the doorstep of his home.

Sir Rod shouted: “He’s gone!

“He is gone!

“Wilfried Nancy has been fired or he’s left, I don’t care, he’s just not at Celtic.”
