A major restaurant chain has closed two branches in Yorkshire.
The team from TGI Fridays have shut restaurants in Sheffield and Doncaster. In recent days, we’ve seen 16 branches of the American-inspired casual dining chain close in the UK.
Phil Broad, TGI Fridays’ Global President, said: “We have been working closely to explore all available options for securing the long-term future of TGI Fridays in the UK, and believe that this is the best outcome for the business, preserves jobs, and offers a strong platform for success and growth.”
It is understood that the remaining 33 TGIs will continue to operate as normal. The Yorkshire restaurants which have closed were based at Herten Triangle, in Doncaster, and Sheffield Road, in Sheffield.
As always, we’ll keep you posted on the latest openings and closures across Yorkshire.
