BRILLIANT KOSTOULAS EQUALISER SAVES SEAGULLS
With the game moving into injury-time, Brighton looked beaten, a mighty defensive effort from Bournemouth backing up an excellent first-half performance. But then the 18-year-old Charalampos Kostoulas, on as sub, collected a knock-down on his chest, fired himself into the air, and flicked a glorious equaliser into the far corner.
Brighton had started the better, but midway through the first half, Bournemouth took over and took the lead, following a VAR-related penalty awarded after Bart Verbruggen was shown to have caught Amine Adli, who went down; Marcus Tavernier did the rest.
Fabian Hurzerler’s men upped the pressure in the second half without really looking likely to score. But then Kostoulas intervened, and the points were shared.
