Average salaries in Croatia have continued their upward trend, with both net and gross wages recording solid monthly and annual growth, according to the latest data from the Croatian Bureau of Statistics (DZS).

The average monthly net salary in Croatia in November 2025 stood at €1,498. This represents an increase of 1.9% in nominal terms and 1.3% in real terms compared to the previous month, DZS said in a statement.

At the same time, the average monthly gross salary reached €2,093, rising 2.3% nominally and 1.7% in real terms on a month-on-month basis.

Highest and lowest-paid sectors

Significant differences remain across economic sectors.

• The highest average net salary was recorded in air transport, amounting to €2,315, while the lowest was in the manufacture of clothing, where employees earned an average of €967 net.

• The same pattern was evident for gross wages, with air transport again leading at €3,370, and clothing manufacturing at the bottom with €1,277.

Compared with November 2024, the average net salary rose by 9.7% nominally and 5.7% in real terms. The average gross salary increased by 10.2% nominally and 6.2% in real terms.
