After all of the gameplay footage we’ve been shown over the past few months (including yesterday), just where is that release date for Cronos: The New Dawn? Bloober Team finally answered that today, announcing a September 5 release date, as well as adding a Switch 2 release. Pre-orders are now open for PC via Steam and the Epic Games StorePlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series.

Alongside the launch date reveal, Bloober Team released a new story trailer. The trailer also introduces the concept and secrets of Soul Harvesting, giving players their first real look at the characters they’ll encounter on their journey to the past.

Bloober also announced the details for the digital and physical editions. As mentioned, digital pre-orders are now live, while a physical edition for the PS5, produced in partnership with Skybound Games, is also now available for pre-order at select retailers.

The physical edition of Cronos: The New Dawn will include a unique Traveler skin and access to a cache of valuable digital supplies, along with a set of collectible physical stickers inspired by the game’s haunting world. PS5 physical editions will include a Standard Edition game disc.

Meanwhile, pre-ordering Cronos: The New Dawn gets you the same bonuses from the physical edition. However, the Digital Deluxe Edition also includes 48-hour early access, a digital artbook and soundtrack, as well as additional skins.

Cronos: The New Dawn is set in two eras: the decaying future and 1980s Poland. Players are plunged into a world inspired by the real Krakow district – Nowa Huta, where survival means bending time itself. You play as a Traveler, an agent of the mysterious Collective, emerging from a dystopian future to dive back into time and extract people before they perish in the apocalypse. To complete the Collective’s mission, players will need to survive a deadly wasteland created by a cataclysmic event known as the Change, filled with monstrous abominations that will challenge players’ combat abilities.
