Frank Lampard insists he’s “happy” at Coventry City where he’s “focussed” on the job in hand, to get the club back to the Premier League.
The Sky Blues boss has been the subject of inevitable speculation linking him with interest from other and higher placed clubs in recent months after the impressive job he’s done at the CBS Arena over the last year – from touted as the next Rangers manager earlier this season to claims this week that Crystal Palace owner, Steve Parish, is a big admirer and sees him as a possible replacement for Oliver Glasner in the summer.
Meanwhile, the Guardian reported this month that Doug King is “keen to tie Lampard down to a longer-term deal, and may begin discussions next month if both parties agree that such negotiations would not destabilise the team.”
The report continues: “The former Chelsea and England midfield player will have just 12 months left on his contract at the end of the season and the club want him to extend.”

Asked by CoventryLive about the Guardian claims about a new contract and whether there is anything in the report, Lampard said: “No. I’m too focussed on football right now. I’m very happy here and focussed on the football.”
The Sky Blues are currently top of the Championship, six points clear of second placed Middlesbrough and eight ahead of third placed Ipswich Town, with 18 games to go.
