Victoria Beckham may have found a way to come out victorious after her son Brooklyn’s explosive statement slamming her.
The former Spice Girls singer, 51, has been on the receiving end of a flurry of videos and memes mocking her dancing after her soon Brooklyn, 26, claimed Lady Victoria “hijacked” his first dance with his bride Nicola Peltz at their 2022 wedding and “danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone”. This has left fans demanding for ‘the tapes’ to be ‘released’ – urging for video of the alleged awkward moment to be surfaced, however only one person owns a copy of any video footage from the wedding.
While the videos and memes must be – to say the least – awkward for Victoria, there has been one good thing to come out of the increased attention, as a campaign to get her one of her solo songs back into the charts has been launched. Victoria kicked off her musical solo career in 2000, after the Spice Girls stopped recording following the release of their third album.

Posh Spice launched her solo career collaborating with Dane Bowers(Image: Press Association)
Her first solo project saw her collaborate with Dane Bowers and Truesteppers with the song Out of Your Mind. But it’s her second solo single Not Such An Innocent Girl which is seeing a chart revival. The 2001 track has shot to number one in the iTunes chart in Ireland this morning and sits in the number two slot in the UK.
The social media campaign started on Instagram, as an account’s post went viral on the platform as it made a call out, which read: “The fact that Victoria is the only Spice Girl without a solo #1 is a national tragedy we are finally fixing.” It continued: “Nothing says ‘British Culture’ like collectively deciding to send Posh to the top of the charts because her son roasted her on Insta. Imagine both their faces.”
The call to action continued: “I’ve seen more VB music promo in the last 24 hours than in the last 20 years and I am obsessed. Let’s get her that #1 for the plot twist of the year. Download “Not Such An Innocent Girl” We are unhinged. Stream Posh. It’s a national emergency.” The caption then read: “DO YOUR DUTY. GET HER THAT #1. Stop scrolling & go stream Posh.”

The call to action received support for Posh in the comments as one person said: “I’ve done it out of principle but it is a terrible song”, while another added: “We stand with posh spice” [sic] as a third said: “Sorry this is also just an incredible song”.
It comes after Victoria was slammed by son Brooklyn as he lashed out at his parents in a scathing statement on Monday evening. Taking to his Instagram page Brooklyn unleashed a furious rant and a string of allegations against his parents, claiming they were “controlling” and had attempted to ruin his relationship with wife Nicola – even before the pair wed in 2022.
After almost a year of social media snubs and Brooklyn and Nicola being missing from several big events including David and Victoria’s birthday celebrations, David’s knighthood celebrations and the launch of Victoria’s Netflix series and her Paris Fashion Week show – Brooklyn spoke out insisting he has no plans to reconcile with his parents, despite fans’ recent pleas for him and Nicola to repair their bond with the Beckhams.
In the statement, Brooklyn said: “I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.
“I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life. For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family. The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.”
